Positive: Summers Cottage is a gorgeous little cottage in a block of miners cottages in a lovely area of Co Durham, it was really easy to find. The back yard was pretty with lights that come in in the evening. The cottage itself was lovely. Everything was provided that anyone could possibly need, except for there being an ironing board, but no iron. Instead there was a clothes steamer which wasn't easy to use, had I known I would have taken my travel iron. But in all honesty that was a trivial thing. It's hard to find anything wrong with Summers Cottage, the host was really easy to get in touch with throughout our stay.the beds were really comfy, the only other thing was, as someone who struggles to get up stairs, I really need something to hold into to help pull myself up. The bottom four stairs have no handrail and I did struggle with that. Doesn't seem like a lot of stairs but it is if you mobility issues. That's just a heads up for anyone who may struggle same as I do. Overall though this cottage was fantastic. Always somewhere to park very close by, I mean just mere meters away from the house. There's loads to do so it's a great base to visit lovely places, Tommy at Seaham, The Angel Of The North a really short drive away etc. Thanks for the lovely break. Would definitely book again for future visits ♥️
