Waverly Creek Retreat is a waterfront retreat tucked away in the woods on a quiet and peaceful area of Lake Martin. Relax on the shady back porch and watch the herons fly by or wade in the shallow creek area (perfect for families with kids) During summer pool, park your watercraft at the dock and head out for a day of adventure. Enjoy all the amenities it has to offer including kayaks, grill, fire pit, fishing & dock. Can be rented with Creekside Cottage and 2 tiny cabins to sleep up to 24!
The space
2 story home with 3 bedrooms and 2 bath. 1st floor includes 2 queen bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and living area. 2nd floor includes loft, primary king bedroom and bath. Private dock, kayaks, cornhole, gas grill, wood fire pit are all included at no extra charge.
Walk out wading area with mini beach.
Great for children & kayaking. Deeper water is about 50’ out.
Other things to note
We have full water access during summer pool (April - October) which is perfect for swimming, boating, and fishing off the dock. Between November & March, the water levels decrease as part of a conservation initiative of Alabama Power. Kayaks can be utilized in the creek year round.
The water is shallow in this part of the creek (only 3 feet at the dock during summer pool). No diving is allowed from the dock. If bringing a boat to the dock, please make sure you stay to the far left of the creek coming in and stay to the far right of the creek going out a that is the deepest part. Also, make sure you heed the buoys in the area as they indicate shallow water levels.
