The building is reminiscent of eighteenth-century New Orleans architecture and was built sometime before 1883. The apartment is on the second story and is always being updated with new and exciting improvements. The 'Kage House' is located at 120 Broadway in the heart of the Old Town Historical District on the corner of Broadway and Main Street and less than a 10 minutes' walk to the 'Century Casino'. On Main Street you will find many fine shops and restaurants, or just enjoy the scenic area as you walkabout. This is by far one of the best places in Cape to stay!!
The bedroom is furnished with a new Stearns and Foster king size firm pillowtop mattress/bed and flat screen tv with viewing of the Mississippi River from the east window. The living room is furnished with a 'Lazy Boy' queen size sleeper sofa and a 65" flat screen tv. The apartment is fully equipped. Internet/wifi usage is included in the price of your stay.
We are continually investing in the historical building. In October the kitchen counter tops were replaced with granite, the bedroom mattress was replaced with a very comfy firm pillowtop Stearns and Foster mattress, and the kitchen window was replaced with a Pella casement window which allows guests to open for fresh air if they wish. Extensive brick tuck pointing was completed in November on the exterior. Future interior renovations are planned.
Directly across the street is a restaurant by the name of Minglewood. You can enjoy dining as well as a large selection of craft beers.
Enjoy relaxing outside on the deck with a river view of the Mississippi and the historical Old Town Cape dynamic downtown area.
